For part of my final for my Illustration Design Lab class, I will be making a series of fliers/posters for The Real Man.  And yes, he now has his own website.

Moulin Rouge Paintings

These are the first two paintings from my Moulin Rouge project for color and story.  I am redesigning the story with the characters as bird people set in an art nouveau tree world.  The first scene features Christian and Satine together (in this version Christian't gift is dancing instead of singing) while Nini whispers to the duke that Satine is playing him.
The second scene is Christian discovering that Satine is dead (The Duke kills her in anger in this version as opposed to her having consumption).

Photoshop Paintings

A couple in class paintings from my Digital Life class

Roverandom Scene 2

This is the second scene in the series of Roverandom paintings that I am working on for my Background Painting class

The Real Man

A group of friends and I have been joking about the oxymoronic idea of a "real man" for quite some time now.  The idea is stating what a real man does, that statement being either very masculine or very feminine.  Right now I am in the process of putting together a zine based on this idea.  Below are the first few illustrations for it.

Ink work

These are a couple pieces from my classes this term, both done with FW acrylic ink and watercolor pencil.  The top one also uses Photoshop, and is a title page for a short story that I am writing.
The bottom one is for my Background Painting class and is a scene from the book Roverandom by J.R.R. Tolkien.
