Carl the Wallaby Audiobook

I've been learning the rudiments of Adobe After Effects recently and after many failed attempts I finally have a basic understanding of the tools.  To practice I put together a narrated version of my children's book Carl the Wallaby along with some simple animation to embellish the illustrations.  The video is available on youtube:

Musical Dancers

A few variations on the musical instrument pieces I've been working on.  Going for several reads in one image - dancers, palm fronds, the playboy symbol, etc.  Continuing work for the playboy jazz festival posters.

Jazz and Micron

The first five images are for a project for a type class I am currently taking.  I am doing a set of posters for the playboy jazz festival, and these are a few of the illustrations I came up with.  I was having a lot of fun with the patterning of the trumpet and saxophone, so I went ahead and contented doodling in that fashion, creating the voodoo frog lady and the murderous sparrows.

Egyptian Gods

A few more illustrations for the children's book of Nefertiti's biography I've been working on.  The first two illustrations are of the gods Sobek and Ra, and the last is of Nefertiti wearing the headdress of a pharaoh.  The pieces are done with ink, watercolor, and micron on strathmore watercolor paper.
