This is the first painting of a series titled Dreams/Nightmares. The idea behind it is that everyones base fears and pleasures are expressed via the subconscious. I have interviewed several people as to what types of dreams and nightmares they tend to have, and then boiled down those dreams into two words: one word that expresses a basic want, and one word that expresses a basic fear. The pieces are companions to each other, and when possible I will use the person interviewed as a model for the painting. This persons nightmare word was Seclusion. I'm working on the dream word for this person now, and it should be posted within the next few days.
